1. know the purpose of writing a report of an excursion.

2. know the format of the report.

Activities 

1. Vocabulary.

2. Discussing the use of writing the report.

3. Group work: Write the paragraphs as assigned in groups based on

the exercise given.

Moral Values

Discipline, rationality, co-operation

Reflection 

The ss were clear with the format discussed. They needed more time than as allocated. The exercise became their homework and will be discussed further in the next writing lesson.

Reflection 

The ss were clear with the format discussed. However, they did not able to do the exercise without the teacher's facilitation. The exercise was been discussed in class and the ss copied the answer.

1. The teacher introduces the novel in general.

2. The teacher discusses the cover of the novel with the ss;

a) What is the meaning of 'curse'?

b) Is curse something good? Why?

c) When a curse is made?

d) Who usually tend to make a curse?

e) Why people make a curse?

f) Do you believe in cursing? Explain.

g)Draw the white rose with blood.

h) Give the symbolic meaning of the illustration.

i) Predict the storyline based on the clues on the cover.

3. The ss copy the answers of discussion on the blackboard.

Reflection 

5K7: Most of the ss were interested with the discussion. There were less than 30% of them gave response accordingly. Some of them were hardly find words to express their ideas due to the low language proficiency.

1. The ss recite the poem in class.

2. The teacher revises the previous lesson with the students.

3. Discussion on the poem for stanza 3.
