Reflections | 5K1: Overall, the ss could not remember the format of a report of an excursion. There were only around 20% of them were able to respond to the questions asked correctly. Drilling and self-study are needed to improve their writing skill. 5S4: There were approximately 30% of the ss did not manage to give a correct report based on the question asked. Section B will be continued in the next lesson. |

| 1. The students present their 'still thoughts' in class. 2. The teacher revises the previous topic on main ideas. 3. The teacher discusses the homework on main ideas in class. |
Reflection | The "Still Thoughts" session was satisfactory. The selected students were able to express their thoughts freely and honestly. However, there were around 70% of the students found it hard to identify the main idea in each text read especially when it was an implied one. Consequently, the discussion on the homework was not been done completely. It will be further discussed in the next lesson. |

Reflection | 5S4: The discussion on Paper 1, Section B showed the students have misinterpreted the topics given. The essay was lack of interesting ideas and less organized. They were advised by the teacher to choose the question carefully before answering. 5K1: There were around 50% of the students let the questions unanswered without trying even though they have been exposed with the answering techniques before. |

Reflection | The students were able to finish the test in 30 minutes. They were asked to exchange their answer sheet with their friend in order to do the marking and discussion. For skimming and scanning, they were able to do well. The discussion will be continued in the next lesson. |

Reflection | There were only 10% of the students showed their understanding on the rubric of question number 31, the summary. The rest left the question blank without an answer. They did not give correct answers for the questions on the poem and short story learnt. The marks gained were only for the easy level of questions. Drilling on grammar and writing will be focused and self- initiative amongst the students is needed for the class. |
