Activities	1. Discuss the overall performance. 2. Teacher discusses Paper 1 – Section A in class. 3. Ss copy the answers discussed. 4. Teacher discusses Paper 2: Section A – C. 5. The ss do the corrections.
Moral Values	Diligence, discipline, politeness.
Reflection	The class were lack of focus during the discussion. Most of them did not pay attention due to their poor English level. There were around 90% of them unable to understand English.

Behavioural Objectives	1. know how marks are awarded for Section A, Paper 1. 2. get the answer from the rubric. 3. form a complete sentence for each point provided in the question.
Activities	1. Discuss the overall performance. 2. Teacher discusses Section A in class. 3. Ss copy the answers discussed. 4. Homework: correction for directed writing in Section A.
Moral Values	Diligence, discipline, politeness.
Reflections	5K1: Overall, the ss could not remember the format of a report of an excursion. There were only around 20% of them were able to respond to the questions asked correctly. Drilling and self-study are needed to improve their writing skill. 5S4: There were approximately 30% of the ss did not manage to give a correct report based on the question asked. Section B will be continued in the next lesson.

By the end of the lesson, students are able to 1. identify the topic sentence of a text read. 2. differentiate the supporting details from main idea. 3. identify the stated or implied main idea in a text read.
Activities	1. The students present their 'still thoughts' in class. 2. The teacher revises the previous topic on main ideas. 3. The teacher discusses the homework on main ideas in class.
Reflection	The "Still Thoughts" session was satisfactory. The selected students were able to express their thoughts freely and honestly. However, there were around 70% of the students found it hard to identify the main idea in each text read especially when it was an implied one. Consequently, the discussion on the homework was not been done completely. It will be further discussed in the next lesson.

Behavioural Objectives	1. know the techniques to answer the questions in section A, B, C and D by skimming and scanning for key words. 2. know the tips to get answers in section B and C by extracting main ideas from the text read. 3. list at least three moral values of the story learnt.
Activities	1. Discuss the performance of Paper 2 in general. 2. Give the scheme of marks and answers from Section A to D. 3. The teacher discusses the answers for section B to D in class. 4. The ss copy the answers.
Moral Values	Diligence, carefulness.
Reflection	5S4: The discussion on Paper 1, Section B showed the students have misinterpreted the topics given. The essay was lack of interesting ideas and less organized. They were advised by the teacher to choose the question carefully before answering. 5K1: There were around 50% of the students let the questions unanswered without trying even though they have been exposed with the answering techniques before.

Activities	1. The teacher gives instructions to the students regarding the topical test. 2. Topical Test on Reading. 3. Discussion on the test.
Reflection	The students were able to finish the test in 30 minutes. They were asked to exchange their answer sheet with their friend in order to do the marking and discussion. For skimming and scanning, they were able to do well. The discussion will be continued in the next lesson.

Reflection	There were only 10% of the students showed their understanding on the rubric of question number 31, the summary. The rest left the question blank without an answer. They did not give correct answers for the questions on the poem and short story learnt. The marks gained were only for the easy level of questions. Drilling on grammar and writing will be focused and self- initiative amongst the students is needed for the class.

Reflection	Overall, the students were able to answer the questions given except in identifying the main idea. The game, on the other hand, required more time than expected. It will be continued in the next lesson.

Reflection	5K7: The students needed the teacher to guide them closely to do the exercise together. There were only few of them could follow the lesson. 5S4: The students were able to do the exercise and some of them could complete it quickly. It will be discussed next week.

Activities	1. The teacher introduces the novel in general. 2. The teacher discusses the cover of the novel with the ss; a) What is the meaning of 'curse'? b) Is curse something good? Why? c) When a curse is made? d) Who usually tend to make a curse? e) Why people make a curse? f) Do you believe in cursing? Explain. g)Draw the white rose with blood. h) Give the symbolic meaning of the illustration. i) Guess the theme of the story. 3. The ss copy the answers of discussion on the blackboard.

Activities	1. The students present their findings based on their role given. 2. The teacher elicits responses from the students to clarify the aims of the game.
Reflection	Overall, the students could not really enjoy the game due to the time constraint. The aims of the game will be further discussed in the next lesson.
