Behavioural Objectives 

1. know the three forms of verbs: simple present, simple past and past

participle by giving 10 examples for each of it.

2. write a paragraph to share one's opinion on disasters happened in

Japan lately using the phrases given: I think…; In my opinion…;or,

I strongly believe that…  

Activities 

1. Revision on verb forms.

2. The selected ss write the opinion on the blackboard based on the

question asked in the previous exercise.

Reflection 

Most of the ss were unable to remember the form of past participle for verbs. Some of them mixed it up with adverbs and adjectives because of its spelling which ended with '-ed' or 'en'. The topic of adjective and adverb will be explored in the later lessons.

1. The ss give examples for each form of verbs on the blackboard.

2. Discussion and correction.

3. Copy notes given.

4. Homework: Build five sentences using each tense learnt.

Reflection 

The ss had problems in giving the form of past participle for verbs. Hence, they had difficulty in forming present perfect tense too. More revisions need to be done.

1. know how marks are awarded for Section A, Paper 1.

2. get the answer from the rubric.

3. form a complete sentence for each point provided in the question.

Activities 

1. Discuss the overall performance.

2. Teacher discusses Section A in class.

3. Ss copy the answers discussed.

4. Homework: correction for directed writing in Section A.

Moral Values

Diligence, discipline, politeness.

Reflections

5K7: Satisfactory feedback. The ss learnt to form a simple sentence from

the rubric and for each point given, but with grammatical errors. They

needed the teacher's facilitation all the time.

5K1: More than 70% of the ss were able to form the sentences by their own, but the meaning was unclear due to the grammatical mistakes in the sentences.

5S4: Most of the ss could build sentences from the content points given. Some of them were even able to build good sentences based on the short notes given.

1. know the techniques to answer the questions in section A, B, C

and D by skimming and scanning for key words.

2. know the tips to get answers in section B,C,D by extracting main

ideas from the text read.

Activities 

1. Discuss the performance of Paper 2 in general.

2. Give the scheme of marks and answers from Section A to D.

3. The teacher discusses the answers for each section B-D in class. 4. The ss copy the answers.

Moral Values

Diligence, carefulness.

Reflection 

Most of the ss were being careless during the exam especially for Section B in the sense that they did not spell words correctly and properly. The techniques were been discussed briefly as a revision for the ss.

The ss were able to recite the poem with feelings appropriately. They could follow the lesson learnt by responding accordingly.
